I am trying to troubleshoot my dvd to mkv process in megui to figure out what I can be doing wrong. I rip the dvd with dvdfab hd. Then use d2v creator to create my d2v. I open up the d2v with avscript creator and select clever anamorphic mod16, autocrop, and resize to 720 then save. On the megui main page I select the 1pass unrestricted HQ preset, load up my audio with an AC3 preset and select autoencode. I then choose mkv as my container hit queue and add my subtitles and chapters on the next screen then hit go and start encode.
I have encoded about 10 movies and half of them turn out great and the other half end up with video which plays well then begins to jerk and stop, then go back about a second and play again then continue jerking and skipping back. Also sometimes the audio will be out of sync as well. This is true for playback on my PC which is a phenom II 920 quadcore and my popcorn hour.
What can I be doing wrong. I really want to get to the point I can just throw in my movie, set up my encode and know my final video is going to be good. Right now its completely hit or miss and I'm doing the exact same steps.
