Hello everyone.............
I have a quick question. I just unzipped the new version of BD-reuilder. I tried to encode a movie. It gives me a video encoding error message. Can anyone tell me , why I get this message? It's wierd beacuse I never had that problem before. Can it because i unzipped the program and not extracted it to my hd?
Thank you

Hi!
Perhaps the problem lies with the specific BluRay disc?
Have you tried this new version with a disc that you've previously successfully processed with an earlier version?

while I ripped bourne identity 2 to my pc. I ran both programs, they both crashed on the encoding video step.

You'll get a lot better response if you are more descriptive of the problem. When are you getting it? What settings are you using? What does the log say? Did you unzip just the program, or the entire directory?
You ask "..why I get this message?" -- but don't even say what message you are getting.
If I could read minds I wouldn't need to write programs for a living... :)

All I can offer is that all the Bourne Movies and all the Matrix movies seem to copy fine as a Movie Only to BD9, when using version 20.03.

@LCOHEN448I ran both programs, they both crashed on the encoding video step. All that tells us is that your problem likely lies with something other than the current version of BR-RB.
Please answer the quesion I previously asked you, namely:Have you tried this new version with a disc that you've previously successfully processed with an earlier version?
Thusfar, have you successfully processed ANY original discs with ANY version of BD-RB?

OK... I haven't burned a blu- ray in a while now. I just downloaded the new version. But I believe It has something to do with the ffdshow encoder. I had roixio installed in my machine and then i just recently removed it. Perhaps that caused something crazy in my machine. Is there a way to tell me if my setting are correct? Iam sorry for being annoying..
Thanks

Your statements appear to be contradictory:
YesterdayI just unzipped the new version of BD-reuilder. I tried to encode a movie. It gives me a video encoding error message.
TodayI just downloaded the new version.Which is it?
Also, yet again (third request), please answer my very specific questions:
1) Have you tried this new version with a disc that you've previously successfully processed with an earlier version?
2) Thusfar, have you successfully processed ANY original discs with ANY version of BD-RB?

I never tried this program with a disc that I already tried it with. Yes I used an old version of bdrebuilder a few months ago.

To be completely honest, this program sounds like it will be too complicated for you. There will be solutions to fit less advanced users from the likes of Slysoft very soon. It's very unlikely you will be able to get this to work how you like.
Unless you can be more specific, I can't tell if you not answering the questions asked of you is age related or english not being your 1st language.

I guess there could also be other reasons:

Iam trying to shrink a blu ray to a 25gb disc. I have the movie bourne identity, its just the movie. Its about 30gbs.
Perhaps "LCOHEN448" is not working with an actual BluRay disc as source material?

This is a beta program. You need to be prepared to test and retest movies that were previously unsuccessful and those that were previously successful.
You definitely need to be working from original commercially purchased Blu-Ray Movies.

I'm also getting an error, used BD for a while just for testing and had no problems backing up so far, but I've downloaded V0.20.05 and when I hit backup I get an "error in attempt to extract audio/subs" "failed to retrieve audio, aborted" Not sure whats happen here, did update ffdshow. Its probably something very simple but I'm just missing it:confused:
any help much appreciated.

Hi guys,
I am getting the same error after installing the updated bd rebuilder on several titles, tried night at the museum again as i still had it ripped on the H/D and got this error.

updated all the relevent tools provided as well in case it was those.
Any chance I can have the old version back to download/install? I'm halfway through my collection and it worked brilliantly for me.

Hi!- Input BD size: 7.51 GB
- Approximate total content: [01:48:38.528]
- Target BD size: 7.72 GBYour source is obviously not the original BluRay disc or an uncompressed rip of the original BluRay disc.
Try starting again with your original BluRay disc...

None other than what you received for the exact same question in the Bug Related thread...
Its no skin off my nose, but you always get better help when confining one topic to one thread.

@punisher12:
Can you play the individual .m2ts files with MPC? BD-RB only needs ffdshow and matroska splitter, and of course Avisynth 2.57 or 2.58. If you have any other codec packs installed, you might try uninstalling them, reinstalling Avisynth, rebooting and trying again. WMP 11 is also recommended, but this would be for the video.
