Hi,

I know that conversion tools like ripbot264 offer an option to transcode in a way, that you just can burn the result on a blu-ray and it works. I also know, that it's possible to burn DVD's in a certain way, that they work like a Blu-Ray (still 4,7/8 gig file limit), but I have no idea how this works.

So what I'm trying to ask is, that I want to take some HD video-file, reencode it with e.g. ripbot264 and then burn it to DVD, so that it will be watchable on a ps3. But I have no idea how to do this. I would be thankful if you could provide me the name of some tools that are capable of this feat or just a short explanation. Thanks!

PS: I wasn't sure if I should create this thread here or in the newbies section, I hope it's ok this way :)

If you're using mkv files you can use popBD (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=145482).
