Hi guys,

As you can see i'm a new member and i'm a nwebie in divx world...

Well , i live in france (my english is not very good..but i'll do my best) and i've a question concerning interlaced DVDs.

Being in france, I (will) encode only PAL so interlace should not be a problem, yet I
've read that practically all specials (making of, documentaries, etc.)are interlaced.

In such cases, I've been told some people use GKnot. So i 've look the differents guides dealing with GK but i have not seen where are the "interlaced DVD" 's settings...

Is it automatic ?
Did i miss something ?

Could you help me please .

See You.
:)

hi

if you save your avs(?) file, a windows pops up. there you can select resizing filters, compressibility test more... and there you'll also find options to deinterlace your movie. (i can't tell you in detail because i only use gordian knot when i need a deinterlacer and thats not very often...). you should be able to find more about deinterlacing and gordian knot in the appropriate forums (divx3/4, gordian knot, maybe newbies...)

hope to help... ;-7
