h264 .ts cutting problem

Hi all i really hope someone can help.

I got hd caps on my pc and there h264. My main goal is to encode them too 720p x264 but iv a bit to learn before that. Is there a tool out there that can cut out ads and bits of the file i done like, like videoredo does for mpeg2. This is my first hurdle if i can get the stream i want too encode with all the adds out i think i can figure out the rest myself i hope heh...

How did you make the capture files?

I capped direct from skyHD with a direct connection to my tecnotrend dvb card, with a t-rex cam. So i can backup files
in HD.
