Hi, i wonder if there is any tool or program out there, which let me convert a whole hddvd into a bluray ?

i have some hddvd on my hdd, which are in the fileformat *.evo. file size from 10mb to 1gig.

i'am looking around for some time now, but the only thing i've found is evodemux.
i tested it and it works, but evodemux only converts the video/audio tream into *.mpv files.

my problem is that i want to convert the whole hd-dvd inclusive menu and as far as i figured out, i can't do that with evodemux.

another point is, that one hd-dvd has some dolby truehd samples on it, and i want to keep em in original quality...

bd authoring tools like "dvdit pro hd" let me create my own menu, but i just want to use the original menu from the hd-dvd on the bluray.
i guess the menu is in the file "HV001M01.EVO", which is the only file with an M in its name. all the other files are named "HV001T01.EVO", "HV001T02.EVO", and so on ...

do you know how i can convert a whole hddvd (incl. menu, all audio tracks etc.) into a bluray ?

Clown_BD is what you need. It is just a gui so it also requires TsMuxer, Eac3to and Imgburn (for burning) to be installed as well.

However it will be movie only. Menus are not possible (and not other software will do it) and you cannot keep TrueHD. TrueHD for Blu Ray also requires a AC3 core which HD DVD does not have. The software can convert audio to other formats such as to AC3 and DTS.

The audio could be decompressed to PCM if you want to keep audio quality.

@Neokz

Hi!

What you want to do cannot be accomplished with the tools that are presently available.

Therefore, I'd suggest that you simply play your original HD-DVDs on your standalone HD-DVD player - or on your PC, if you have an older version of one of the software players that plays HD-DVDs...

Couldn't he encode TrueHD/EAC3 to TrueHD+AC3 with eac3to and mux with latest tsmuxer?

Thanks for all your answers.

One last question.

Is it technically impossible to convert a whole hd-dvd into a bluray, or isn't there just a program available yet, which can do this ?

Is there maybe a chance that somebody will release such a program in the future ?

There is no tool available to do the whole disc, menus included and seeing as it's a dead format, the odds of such a program appearing are nil.

Simply put:

Movie only=yes and easy
Whole HD DVD=No not possible
