cable box .IDX file to .SRT - possible?

Hi my cable box records subtitles in .idx files and the video as .trp files. Is there any software that can convert the .idx files to .srt so i can mux them into a .mkv container with my encoded videos?

The .idx files are not subtitle files.

Actually a pair of idx/sub files is a subtitle. You can use subresync.
