opening MPEG-2 in Nandub. is it possible?

I have this problem: I have a digital tv-card in my computer and I can capture video directly in MPEG-2 format, but I don't know what is the best way to open it to Nandub, because it doesn't support MPEG-2... :( So what's the best way to do it? Does DVD2AVI support MPEG-2 format (not vob)? Or do I have to open it to Flask and convert to DivX with the max bitrate and then open that file to Nandub? If so, what's the best codec to do it? :confused:
