I've been encoding DVDs for my iPod for over a year now with MeGUI. About 3 weeks ago, any video I encode will crash both QT and iTunes. I'm not sure what's going on.
I use the iPod 5.5 profile at 1500 kps and Nero at 128 kps like I always have. I thought maybe a bug was introduced in a newer x264, so I downloaded an older version, but still QT crashes. I've tried lower bitrates, and smaller resolutions, but QT crashes.
I used the Avisynth Cutter to encode a small, 300 frame clip to test things out, and miraculously they play! But when I switch back to encoding the full video, I causes QT to crash... I have also tried various sources and the same thing.
Handbrake still works, but I would prefer MeGUI because it uses Avisynth... Is there any solution to this? Thanks
