Why i can't install avisynth x64

I download the x64 file and copy avisynth.dll to c:\windows\system32\
double click .reg file
restart my computer
run x264.exe 64bit display error message
why?

I had the same problem but it turns out it wasn't an avisynth issue in my case. It's lack of 64 bit splitters, this may work (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=145676&highlight=bit+haali) or there's also may work (http://www.xvidvideo.ru/component/option,com_docman/task,cat_view/Itemid,11/gid,20/orderby,dmdate_published/) along with ffdshow64. Neither work for me on vista x64 but maybe I'm too naive to figure out and after an hour I gave up, hopefully you have better luck.

You whole line has to be x64, including the avisynth plugins. Even if you use no 'external' filters, you have to remember the video decoder also has to be x64!
