Could anyone recommend the easiest way to go from a .trp file with h264 in it to an MPEG-2 .ts file so that I can edit it in VideRedo?
I'd prefer to have my file converted to MPEG-2 so that I can throw them in MeGUI and encode them in a way I'm familiar with.
Would Procoder 3 work for this?

.trp-files w/h264-content usually are produced by satellite HDTV-receivers. If the recording is larger than about 1,54GB then a .001-file, a .002-file ... are produced. In a DOS-box with the "copy /b Clip.trp+Clip.001+Clip.002 D:\Clip.ts" can be copied together from the directory of the recording onto the D:-drive which has to be NTFS-formated if the produced "Clip.ts"-file is larger tha 4GB.
Using tsremux this "Clip.ts" file can be remuxed into a usable file as the previously missing PMT-information is added.

If you're successful in re-assembling the transport stream, I'd suggest the intermediate transcode from H.264 to MPEG-2.
There are plenty of tools for getting H.264 video into AviSynth, like DGAVCIndex, DSS2, or FFMPEGSource.
