.ass subtitles size & position

Is there anyway to change .ass subtitles' size and position in a .mkv without extracting them? Is there any directshow filter (directvobsub doesn't affect subtitles) or even a video converter that really supports reconfiguring .ass subtitles?

When are subtitles .SRT can be configured with Direct VobSub, but when .ssa .ass no way....

Yes, .ass is a real pain.

so the color and size will make the subtitle script .ass
To change the subtitle demuxer must,.. modify the script again and muxer ..

As long as this is done automatically is ok.

Also, bsplayer and SMplayer can resize and change position of .ass subtitles on the fly so that means that this is not impossible.

KMplayer can also change size/position

or you can re-format with aegisub

That's true, but is there any converter or directshow filter that can move/resize ass subs without extracting, like they do for srt? I had AlltoAvi move them but can't find something that can resize.
