AC3 to AAC with Megui not working

I am trying to convert a 5.1 ac3 file to nero aac in megui and no matter what I try I can't get it to work. When I start megui the progress screen pops up and says "preprocessing" and never does anything else.

I have installed neroAacEnc.exe and directed its path in megui. What am i doing wrong? Do I need to install a codec or change a setting in ffdshow possibly?

Is there an error message? Post the log file

Did you use .avs input or audio directly?

Did you use the right audio profile? Are you using multichannel AAC ? Check to make sure the # channels match in the options

Test on a smaller 5.1 ac3 sample (e.g 10 sec clip)

sometimes "Preprocessing" can take some time (several minutes). It depends on your audio file length. So, just wait...that should be fine.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure exactly what happened but I tried it again and it finally started working. I even left it overnight before preprocessing and it was still preprocessing in the morning and I have a fast cpu. It is working fine now tho.
