I'm currently doing some sample converts from dvd's ripped with HD DVD Fab5 into h264 .avi videos using DVD Catalyst 3.76.4. The real movies and shows (with actual people) turn out fine although a fuzzier than I care to have. Whenever I try a rip of a cartoon (family guy, futurama), I get distortion mainly in horizontal lines on the edges of the animations when they move. What causes the distortions like that only in animations?
