x264/haali won't call ffdshow ->

Hi guys,


I'm experiencing a little problem that doesn't make any sense:


script =
Directshowsource("whatever.mkv")
ConvertToYV12()

-> mpc / avsp plays this script just fine, decoding is alright

But when I want to encode, x264 won't call ffdshow (or do I have to blame haali?).
x264 timeouts and doesn't report anything, it just doesn't encode and skips pass 1 & 2

maybe someone can reproduce this: vc1 1080p (matroska), muxed using eac3to

ffdshow_beta6_rev2527_20081219 / couldn't call it for some reason, other revisions work..probably system related since no one else reports any problems.

anyway..'solved'.

It probably wouldn't hurt if you checked your DirectX 8 as well. Once I had a problem with that and ffdshow.
