Been using an older version of DGMPGDec (1.4.x) for some time here and now do did i give it a try with the latest release of DGMPGDec (1.5.4) but the thing now is that the audio doesn't get demuxed. So im wondering if someone else have stumbled over this issue.

No. Is yours set for Audio->Output Method->Demux All Tracks? And you're opening VOBs in DGIndex, and not already demuxed M2Vs?

And the syntax for specifying tracks has changed. Read the users manual.

I have checked up on GK and looked @ the user manual for DGIndex but i haven't become any wiser. I dont understand how i will be able to setup GK to use v1.5.x. Im not a movie wiz by any means

Setup GK? Is the DGIndex.exe in a different location from before? If so, go into the "Program Paths" Tab of GKnot and point to your new DGIndex.exe. And don't forget to use the new DGDecode.dll in your scripts as well. Just replace the old DGDecode.dll with the new one.

The DGIndex.exe & DGDecode.dll is in the same location as before so no changes is needed in GK. I use the 'Rip & Prepare VOBs in one pass' option and sets the 'dlgDVDtoAVIParams' to 'Demux all tracks'

It's just that the AC3 stream doesn't get demuxed. Donald posted that the syntax for specifying tracks has changed and it's that part i can't get the 'hang' of. I just don't know what to change to get GK working with the new v1.5.x.

I see. I've never used that option and don't know if your problem is somehow peculiar to it. Maybe someone else can help.

Thanks for trying to help me out manono. :)

I was thinking later - can you get audio when opening VOBs directly in DGIndex?

I've tested doing it manually through DGIndex and there it works just fine.

v1.4.9 works fine with GK so i'll stick with that 1 for now and see if some1 have a workaround for v1.5.x that works with the 'Rip & Prepare VOBs in one pass' option.

Looks like a job for len0x, then. Maybe he'll see this thread.

Yeah, that's true. Can only hope that len0x see this post then.

As far as I remember GKnot doesn't have anything to do with demuxing step (well at least I never used it that way) - you launch DGIndex and save d2v file along with demuxed audio file. Then you pick up both in GK. Not quite sure what is not working here...

If GK invokes DGIndex, specifying audio to demux, it can be wrong if the way of specifying audio tracks is different. Am I more confused than you? :)

My guess is that the automatic GKnot way selects "Demux Tracks" where it should select "Demux All Tracks". If choosing the old "Demux Tracks", you also now have to select the track or else no audio.

Hi again

I've now tested with demuxing specific streams but it's the same thing....... it doesn't work with v1.5.x :(

I don't really understand why you'd want to choose just one track since it takes work. Why not "Demux All Tracks" and toss out the one(s) you don't want? Anyway, first Audio->Output Method->Demux Track(s) followed by Audio->Select Track(s). Fill in the track name in this format:

80: AC3 2/0 192

followed by File->Save Project, and you get audio.

I have no probs with using the "Demux All Tracks" option. Thats what i've been using the whole time as i wrote earlier. I just wanted to try and see if the 'specific stream' option worked with v1.5.x or not. And i posted back about that.

And I explained how to do it.

Yes, the 'manual' way. And i know about it but i like it 'easy' so i'll stick with v1.4.9 and GK.

I know, im 'lazy' ;)
