Yesterday I bought me the DVD : Frequency - and there is a documentation about "Black Holes". I love it so much that
I decided to encode the 37 min long documentation on one SVCD.
I started DVD2SVCD and selected the subs (permanent) -It is in
engl. and I need German subs- I took ~3 hours @ 5-pass

But then I saw that there are wihite lines <under> the subs !
So I took a look at the subs in the subs-dir and say that the had
"a-white-last-line" in every file and this creates the white line in the movie (from left to right!!!)

When I encode a "normal" DVD (movie) the subs-files are smaller and have no white-last-line AND there is NO space LEFT + RIGHT + OVER and UNDER the letters - @ the documentations' subs there is a lot of space.

I don't want to edit 80 sub-files in Paint Shop Pro and cut off the white lines!!!

Hi,

I've had similar problems,

I use subrib to extract the subtitles in these cases.
