Hi,
This is a simple guide on how to rip your DVD-A discs, how to convert them to flac and how to listen them in bitperfect mode.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Do not forget to switch off Any-DVD/or HD before inserting your DVD-A into your DVD-device.
What you need is:
1) DVD Audio Explorer:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/4muyhm
2) Eac3to v. 3.12 or later:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=125966
3) Foobar 2000 with WASAPI plugin:
http://www.foobar2000.org/?page=Download
STEP ONE:
Open Audio_TS and click on ATS_01_0.IFO

STEP TWO:
Select the track (tracs) you wanna rip:
http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/7246/dvda002.th.png (http://img165.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dvda002.png)
STEP THREE:
Cick on floppy icon and select "store" and "ignore stream encryption":
http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/6379/dvda003.th.png (http://img165.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dvda003.png)
Extraction starts:
http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/8054/dvda004.th.png (http://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dvda004.png)
STEP FOUR:
Rename the extracted file for instance to trial.mlp:
http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/579/dvda005.th.png (http://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dvda005.png)
STEP FIVE:
Transmit it to flac via eac3to 1.32 or over:
eac3to v3.12
command line: eac3to\eac3to C:\users\rica\desktop\tracs\trial.mlp C:\E\trial_out.flac
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MLP, 5.1 channels, 24 bits, 96khz
Decoding with libav/ffmpeg...
Remapping channels...
Encoding FLAC with libFlac...
Creating file "C:\E\trial_out.flac"...
The original audio track has a constant bit depth of 24 bits.
eac3to processing took 2 minutes, 13 seconds.
Done.
STEP SIX:
And try to listen it via foobar with WASAPI support.
Here is a sample file created by that method:
