Trying to backup 'Shooter'. Used DVDFab 5, no problem. Used DVD Shrink next and it said that size was to big after compression. Uh, now what, I can't burn it. I even tried a double layer with the DVD Fab burner. Can't figure what I'm doing wrong.:thanks:

Hi!
That July 2007 Paramount release should not have any "special" or newer copy protection, very likely ONLY the standard CSS.
You should be able to properly decrypt and copy it using virtually any decrypting program (e.g. Good ol' DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, RipIt4Me, DVD95Copy, etc.).
Try cleaning your disc and then re-rip and compress with DVD Shrink (No need to use more than one program).
If you still have problems, return the DVD to the place of purchase in exchange for a new replacement...

Like I said, I used DVD Fab to rip and had no problem. I have a Video_TS Folder with all the VOB, IFO, and BUP files in it. Where the problem is when I run it through DVD Shrink, I get the bar at the top of the program that is green untill the very last part, which is red. If I put a Regular DVD in to burn, DVD Shrink say that the file is to large. If I put in a double layer disk, it still tells me the same thing. How do I burn it?

Like I said, I used DVD Fab to rip and had no problem. The "DVD Fab" group of related programs ("Platinum", "Gold", etc.) have been notorious for doing "other than clean" DVD rips.
So, as I said, try cleaning your disc and then re-rip and compress with DVD Shrink (No need to use more than one program)...

It certainly looks like either the disc or your hardware is problematic.
Yet a third time:
As Ive said, try cleaning your disc and then re-rip and compress with DVD Shrink (No need to use more than one program)...
BTW - Is the disc a commercial, pressed DVD or is it an "Asian Silver" (as I've seen several postings on the 'Net about the "Disc Authentication Failed!" message)?

It's Silver, is that a problem?

If that means it's, as I asked, an "Asian Silver" (bootleg), then there's no accounting for the quality of the disc.
As I said in an earlier post to this thread, regarding a legitimate, commercial DVD:That July 2007 Paramount release should not have any "special" or newer copy protection, very likely ONLY the standard CSS.
