A divx player 4 windows 2000?

I want to play some divx on my tv with my laptop but that has win 2000 on it, but most divx players I try seem to crash.

I tryed using wmp 6.4, 7.0 bsplayer, powerdivx & zoom player, but they all give me the same error...

Hard coded break point
"invalid audio but not signaling an error."

If i hit yes it would pop up like 30 more then pop up another error.
If I hit no I just skip all the 30 more pop ups & then I get a message:
mplayer2.exe - Fatal Aplication Exit
Application terminated

then I hit ok but then this error:

Assert Failed

Does any1 know what this means, or what I can do to fix this?
1 good thing I did try the playa with the divx 4.12 codec but it gives me about a 1 or 2 sec delay after a few mins into the movie.

Replace Debug version of DirectX with Release one.
