I'm trying to back up my copy of Flight of the Phoenix which is in DTS-HD
Now I was able to use TsRemux v.0.0.21.2 on Ironman for TrueHD by selecting the box that says TrueHD to AC3/DTS HD to DTS
But for some reason i still get no sound with flight of the phoenix.
Can PowerDVD not play DTS? because if so that's probably my problem.
Anything else i should try to get DTS HD to work?

Can PowerDVD not play DTS?If you play your ORIGINAL, COMMERCIAL BluRay disc with PowerDVD, does it play with audio?

The original disk does play sound and it's in English.
The ripped version has sound but it's in French.
I had the same problem with Ironman with TrueHD and was able to use TsRemux to convert the TrueHD to AC3.
But with this disk the sound file is DTS HD and for some reason when i try to convert it to DTS it doesn't have any sound.

As I asked you in your other "Iron Man" thread, are you simply playing the .M2TS file (which would yield such results) or are you playing an either burned or mounted DVD "As DVD", NOT simply a file?

I get french when playing the directly ripped .m2ts file(the large one)
I get no sound when i mux out the other formats.
TsRemux was able to convert TrueHD to AC3 and claims to convert DTSHD to DTS but so far hasn't.
I've been looking into the eac3to program to convert myself but it's just too far out of my knowledge area to use it.

Once again, play an either burned or mounted DVD "As DVD/As BluRay disc", NOT simply a file!

For pete's sake you were wrong in the other thread.
I can play Ironman, only the large .m2ts file with only AC3 in English in PowerDVD. And it only took 1 click of a button to get it to that point.
And since i don't have a burner for blu-ray i can't burn the entire thing and since i have no clue how to get it into a format to play it "as DVD" then i guess i'm stuck here trying to get help from people who think i know everything.
I can't use the eac3to program and I'd rather not copy the entire thing with languages i don't need onto my HDD.

You can try some GUI for eac3to (and other CLI tools) if you feel like not being able to use its command line directly. Clown_BD (http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=25818) probably? I'm not experienced in BD or MKV problematic at all (still using only Xvid in AVI) but I'm watching your lamenting about no sound/French only for 2 days. Your arguing about "not wanting to re-rip/remux whole disc again" is just pathetic. Once I want to obtain satisfying results I've no other choice than trying every possible tool with every steps recommended by more experienced users in this area. You could have been done with all re-ripping long ago and most likely with working output if you just didn't keep to find the ways why NOT TO do it.
eac3to is an excellent tool which gets better every day [literally] and once you learn how to use it (I know the help included is rather minimalist) you'll discover the real power under its hood.

Hard to understand what you're saying most of the time but i'll give it a shot.
I am trying everything and it just seems like most of them aren't working. Not being able to use command line for eac3to is definitely a blockade but eventually if that's the only way to get this to work i guess i'll have to learn it. I just know there's probably a better method out there that i should be looking for first.
I don't have the space to be storing whole copies of the disks when all i really need is the video and english sound.... So ripping the DVD in whole isn't really an option until 1TB hdds are super cheap.
EDIT:
I'm looking into that Clown BD and it seems pretty promising. I'll keep fiddling with it for a while and see what happens.

The Clown_BD program worked like a charm.
It actually created way more then i needed but i just deleted what i didn't need and everything was perfect.
Thanks kypec for the link and info. As well as the rest of you for putting up with me.:thanks:
