Will HDDVD movies come to BluRay?

Hi,

I got "In Good Company" and "Inside Man" as HDDVD, and was wondering, if the studios have made any statements in regards to release HDDVD movies on BluRay?

Sure. There quite a few movies already. Terminator 2 & 3 are now on BD, for i.e.

I went through my collection of 100+ HD DVD movies over Christmas, and found only two handful (well a bit more.. three hands would've sufficed) of movies that haven't been brought over yet - basically Universal titles. Universal released a great many HD DVD titles but is steadily bringing them over. I figure some time in 2010 you'll probably have all titles in Blu. However, why bother if you have perfectly good HD DVDs? just rip them before your player goes bust (they generally last a couple of years) and there's plenty of streaming media devices already available and more coming that will player your EVO files. Maybe you'll miss out on the menus but I can live with that (better than double dipping.. after all the video is usually no upgrade (same transfer) and I don't really hear the difference between DD+ and TrueHD).
