i install the Gknot 0.21 and then update 0.23 and finally the lame 3.91 update !!i don't install ant other codecs !
i read as carefully as i can the Gknot guide (thx to the autor) and i discoverded a prob :
i take a look into virtualdub compression options to see wich audio codecs i have !
i look in" all formats" mode but i have no more than 56 kbit/s ?????
i read the Gknot's guide and i see the moderator choose 128 kbit/s !
so if i don't have mpeg layer 3/ more than 56 "all formats" mode, i won't be able to choose 128 in Gknot's window , will i ???
do i need more codecs ??
the guild told no !!!

plz explain ! :(

AFAIK Gknot uses the lame.dll in the Gknot folder. Not to worry, it provides all bitrates:)

EDIT- Gknot is an all in one package which means you shouldn't have to install anything but the 0.23 installer.

did you actually read the gknot folder? did it say at any place to compress the audio in virtualdub? well... I'm the author of these documents and I can say for sure that I never wrote such a part for that particular guide.. just follow the guide and don't worry about anything not mentioned there
