View Full Version : Strange Blu-ray SUPs?

I demuxed a few Blu-Ray SUP files and when I read them with either SUPRIP or Supread I get various repeating subtitles...

I would see 4 identical subtitles and then 3 identical subtitles and sometimes just 1. When Supread shows the information of the 4 identical subtitles, the first 3 would have no close time and the open times would increment slightly. The final subtitle has an open and close time.

When you use SUBRIP to OCR and convert it to SRT it will intelligently create one entry instead of 4 and will use the start time from the first subtitle and the end time from the last subtitle.

I'm pretty new to subtitles analysis but are these common SUP implementations? I've never seen this...

Hi,

Maybe the transparency of the subtitles is changing to produce a kind of fading?
At least it's the way to do it on normal DVD subtitles.

Cheers

hi

i know your problem and the answer is: some bluray.sups cant load in SupRead. because Supread is buggy and i think pelican don't work on it.

manusse will implement in his tool (SubtitleCreater) bluray.sup-support.
