reason i ask is, the fact is AVC encoding on any level is so demanding just like when MPEG2 was first released all that time ago,

but a tool came out for DVD Rebuilder
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd_rebuilder_tutorial_advanced.cfm

RBFarm 1.7, and it worked great

i was wondering is jdobbs planning to design something similar to this,

as even a I7 965 extreme CPU would be no match for 3 PC's running a dual core each,

in fact would be nice to know just how quick that would take,

say 3 AMD 5200+ CPU's working on the encode, that would be so cool to watch, but the electric bill would not wanna be seen that month, hehehe

thanks,

In order to do so, I'd have to break the encoding down to something smaller (chapters maybe) -- which isn't being done now.

I would think eventually there will be a lot of improvements. But first I need to get it past the current "massive bug count" stage.
