The WEF:

Would it possible for you to implement a trimming feature for _both_ the start and the end of the movie? The functionality is already in the .avs-file (trim(start,end) but if you do that manually the audio will be completely off. There must be some way to fix the audio so that one can trim unwanted crap from the beginning of a file too?

On quite a few movies I've ripped, there are some stuff in the beginning that I don't want to have in the final product, such as trailers or "presentations" of various kinds..

It would really be a useful feature. Do you think it's doable?

You can do this in DVD2AVI. Use the [ and ] keys.

@jggimi

That's a great idea and I've been tempted to test it but never had the time. Does the cause any sort of audio sync issues later when you mux?

Thx!

Oh really? Cool, I have to try that! :)
Thanks for the tip!

Still, it would be neat to have it within GKnot.. ;)

front-trimming without audio-problems can ONLY be done in dvd2avi. i don't think there will ever be any support for this inside gknot. it could be done with dvd2avis command line saving a new new project file...well...
