Hi,

Im recording from my computer.

And I will be progressing through the game frame by frame. (i click a button and 1 frame goes by)

I will then save the file as AVI.

I then need a tool to take the frames and throw away all the non-unique frames.
Basically, 1 frame may equal 5 seconds, because it may take me 5 seconds to advance 1 frame (by pressing the button)
The next frame may last 1 second, because I press the button quickly.

I just need a program which will take unique frames and make them equal 1 frame (instead of them being 5-10 seconds long because of my manual frame advance)

Is there a tool that could do this?

Multidecimate (http://neuron2.net/multidecimate/multidecimate107.zip) should do what you want. May I ask, why would going through the video frame by frame produce duplicates?

Ahh, because I'll be recording using a screen capture device. So it will not be 'seeing' the frames. Instead it will record everything, including the wait between a frame going by and me pressing the frame button.

I'm sorry, I'm very bad explaining such things.

(thanks neuron2 for making my title better :))
