View Full Version : Scenarist HDMV - the coloured buttons

Here's my challenge:

I have encoded a video file with three panels on the screen.
Left Centre Right

They all have separate soundtracks.
All of these have been loaded as separate streams in Scenarist.

I have a menu so that the viewer can pick which stream to listen to.

Of course using the audio stream button on his remote, the viewer can also swap 'live'.

But I'd still like to make it easier.

I had one idea.

I notice that the remote control for Blu Ray usually has red, green, blue and yellow buttons.

It would be great to program these so that pressing red swaps to audio stream 1, green to 2, blue to 3, and yellow to a mixed stream 4.

But I have no idea whether this is possible.

My questions are:

1. Are the colored buttons programmable in HDMV, or only in BD-J

2. Is there another smart way to use the left and right buttons maybe? What if I set up an invisible pop-up menu the entire length of the film, with three buttons, left, centre and right, then programmed the buttons to auto-action, and change the stream setting?

Thanks.

Hi ranma,

This button are only for BD-J.

Yes you can make invisible button, but not as popup. Because if the use not hit popup before your button not working. And if they are inviisible, it can be difficult to know if it's active or not.

Simply make 4 invisble buttons as menu assign them at numeric pad 1 to 4.

Thanks for that.
How do you assign to numeric pad 1 to 4?

It's simply the button id of the page
