i am really new in this matter dvd encoding and stuff I want to backup some dvds i have after long work i was able to convert a .vob file to an .avi file but with no sound :(

what can I do

is there any other reliable software i can use
i tried all the ways
recording the sound under mp3 format didnt get me anywhere (no sound file at all was recorded) after i changed the decoding method and used ac3 format i got a seperat sound file that wasnt as long as the movi when i tried to mix them 2gether it gave me a corrupt avi file i could still see the pics but with distorted sound !:confused:
now maybe there is another better software u experts might know about
i heard about flask but it didnt work ( by the way what is the flask file size):angry: :rolleyes:

use gordian knot, go to doom9's gordian knot divx4 guide and follow all the steps
