View Full Version : Capture: Audio Rate at 48470Hz...

I've just upgraded from a socket 775 based system to a new Core i7 920 system using the Gigabyte EX58-UD5 motherboard.

Both the new motherboard and the old one appear to use the same Realtek HD audio chipset, and I'm also using a Terratec Aureon 7.1 which has been moved across (as has the capture card).

Here's where things get odd. No matter what I do, audio rate on my captures is now at 48470Hz, when I have selected 48000Hz. Now I expect the odd bit of fluctation, but the same kit in the old system was pretty much always at the required 48000Hz. Both Realtek HD and Terratec audio is at the faster speed.

No matter what tweaks I make, I can't change that rate (both average rate and relative rate are identical). Any one have any ideas why the exact same hardware is performing differently on the new motherboard?
