Ac3 Sound in Divx and S/PDIF output??

HI@all


i tried to put out the AC3 sound throught the S/PDIF output in a Divx
movie with AC3 sound. But it always jumpes back to the Dolby Sourround Option if i choose S/PDIF output. With Graphedit I can play the movie with Dolby Digital Sound through the S/PDIF output.
But i want to play my Divx movies with the Media Player.

hi are you trying to send the output to an external reciever or to the soundcard?

What audio filter are you using? there is a reg tweak for powerdvd xp that fixes this. I am sure there are dword values for other filters, I just don't know what they are...

im using X.avi -> Avi Splitter -> Ac3 from Avi Xform ->

Intervideo Audio Decoder -> Default Directsound Device

I could be wrong but I thought it was this easy...
in windvd : s/pdif
in the soundcard control panel just click digital output only and then use the corresponding outlet to the receiver? Isn't the role of the external reciever to decode it? sorry if I am not much help.. what sound card is it? also try using default waveout device instead of direct sound.

I can hear Dolby Digital with WinDVD through my externel Decoder all Settings are Ok! But i want to hear Dolby Digital Sound with my externel Decoder with the Windows Media Player.
