I recorded a movie from TV and then encoded to an avi using Gknot and Divx4.12.
Problem is now, that I have a few seconds of commercials at the beginning, which I want to cut of.
First keyframe is at the beginning of the avi, second keyframe is frame 300, where the movie already startet.
Now I tried to delete the frames 0-160, and then save the new avi, but the frames are still in.
Any ideas how to cut of these frames?
Or is it possible, to set frame 160 as a keyframe?

-select frames 300-end of video, save with direct stream copy.
-select frames 160-300 and recompress with divx4.12
-join the 2 files

think there is no easier way

If captured with Huffyuv, MJPEG or similar, it's of course better to use the capture source for compressing the frames 160-300 instead of the DivX4 compressed file.

If you don't have the source any more, then Zhnujm's method is the way to go. But the recompressed part will look worse than the rest.
