Is there a way to backup a Blueray disc to a Standard DVD-9 or DVD-5 could be posible? With Subtitles and Menues and preserving main structure of BD?
(Like 9 yrs ago when many people converted DVD to VCD or SVCD)
I normally used Scenarist, Big3 tools and pgcedit and I asked myself if the above tools can be used for this kind of conversion...

There is not. Yet.
You can keep the video, audio and subtitle, along with the chapters, but menus is too much to ask right now.

Am I not reading the question correctly, but isn't what the BD-ReBuilder Beta does, exactly does what he's asking to do??

Oh snap. I misunderstood the question. I thought he wanted it in DVD form, such that he could play it in a standalone DVD player. You know, Mpeg-2 and all that. My apologies. Yes BD-Rebuilder can do what he asks. But keep in mind it is still in Beta. But use it if it works for you.

We have been, and it's been doing great even though it's just the first Beta
BTW... converting BluRay to DVD format can be done as well, using TSRemux or TSMuxer and then ConvertXtoDVD.;)

I was telling the OP that it was beta, so to be careful. I know that you know.
And yes, converting the movie portion of blu-ray's to dvd is possible, but not the menu's as well, as the OP stated (and I misunderstood).
You can do it (convert the movie) a variety of ways, everything from ConvertX to AVStoDVD.

Haven't tried AVStoDVD, but I can tell you that ConvertXtoDVD is lightning fast at it, and it also creates several different custom menus to your liking if you'd like, and the output quality rivals commercial DVDs.
I can personally vouche for this program, but it does have a free trial, which allows you to do a full conversion, but with their message across the bottom every so many seconds.
As for BD-RB, though it's in beta, it's been doing pretty damn good.... and only will get better since this is only it's initial beta release. ;)

(My question was related to BD --> DVD standard compliant conversion. Think will not get 1:1 conversion because there are new functions in BD that does not allowed in DVD Authoring, but convert some menu functions would be nice...)
Thanks for your replies.
There´s enough information to begin for tests...

Use search, and browse through the forums a bit (before you post). There are complete threads that talk about this, describe how to make those discs and even speak of playabillity.
So, sorry to say, but :search:
Back to the original question;
And blu-ray --> DVD, with menu's is not possible afaik. BD menu's are totally different from DVD-menu's. When doing movie only Blu-ray --> DVD, that's relatively simple. But when you want menu's, you'll have to create / author them yourself. You could use parts of the BD menu's offcourse, for instance the animated backgrounds (if present) or the buttons (if you can find those). But only if you can demux those elements, cause all these elements need to be transcoded to compliant DVD MPEG2, and correct anamorphic resolution.

you cannot do anything converted to DVD except movie only. Menus cannot be done.
I use HC to convert BR or HD DVD to DVD with great results. ConvertX is good, but not nearly as good as HC, especially in dark scenes; but it is "one-click"

But, as Merlin7777 already said, there is AVStoDVD (one click app) that uses HCenc for mpeg2 encoding... and it's open source...
