DVD2SVCD 1.06 build 1, default settings except change CD size to 800MB. Everything is fine to create the .cue and .bin files. I previewed the SVCDs with WINDVD 3.0, for still pictures everything is fine. For motion part, there is a lot of short horizontal strip observed. How can I turn the parameters to remove (at least reduce) these strips. TIA. Kenny.

Are you doing PAL or NTSC video?

There is no indication on the box saying whether it is NTSC or PAL. I encoded it as NTSC. Would there be a difference if the DVD is NTSC or PAL in setting the parameter in DVD2SVCD? I'm a newbie in using DVD2SVCD (actually a newbie for converting DVD to SVCD) so please be patient with my question. Thanks.

Could you please verify if this happens when playing with standalone+TV? SVCD was not designed to play in PCs...

If it's region 1 USA and Canada it's NTSC if you are in Europe or elsewhere it's probably PAL. Tell us what the region on the box says that should help.
Also Mozart is right have you played this on your DVD player on your TV?

I took a better look on the box and found out that it is NTSC. As for playing on standalone player, I would try to burn the .bin file and see if it helps. Thanks for all the reply. Kenny.
