HI guys!
How can capture a still frame from a video..?

Cuz i want to make a quality comparison
and to do so
i need to take the same accurate screenshot
from both of my videos...

I tried some software here and there but
they aren't accurate at all!

I've never been able to save the same exact frame
from both of my videos...

Any idea would be really appreciated!

If you want a meaningful answer, it would be helpful if you'd state the format of the video...

my problem is really the accuracy!

I've never been able to save the same exact frame
from both of my videos...

let's say a take a frame from my video#1 at 17:02
and then take a frame from my video#2 at 17:02

they still won't be exactly at the same position!

Answer setarip_old's question!

You need frame accurate seeking. There are tools but we need to know the video format to tell you the right one.

That's not a video format.

If it's a video you cam play in WMP, install ffdshow and enable "grab" for every frame. When you play, it captures all frames, so you can just play it past the frame you want and pick it out (The output is labeled by the frame number of the video, so even finding it is easy).

You need to be looking at frame numbers not time position, there are (in a pal dvd) 25 frames per seconds, so you have a 1 in 25 chance of being on a different frame at the same time.....

Load up your video in AVIDemux, it has a frame counter at the bottom and you can go through the video frame by frame.

Less arguing, more trying what people suggest!
