How to cut into multiple parts? (a lot more than 2)

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to cut an .avi into multiple parts, in my case 50. I need specific timing, and I got them from chapters (that I can extract).

I saw avisynth can "trim", but it doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for. Any ideas?

Mux to mkv and split to per-chapter files using mkvmerge.

I'm trying that thanks, but right now I didn't find this per-chapter cutting option.
I'll take a look at the command line, maybe it's just not in the GUI.
