Yesterday i swapped the s video that went to my receiver from my htpc with an hdmi. It works ok but for some reason i cant see any video in powerdvd when watching a bluray .iso. It worked fine with the s video so i cant figure out it wont work with the hdmi. standard dvds work fine. the hdmi is onboard. The operating system is xp pro. Any thoughts? I really want to watch a bluray movie tonight. this is killing me.

thanks

Ask PowerDVD support. Also check their forums. Your TV may have to be HDCP compliant.

Yea i already emailed powerdvds tech support. I looked at the forums and it seems to be a pretty comin problem but i couldnt find an actual solution.
Im running hdmi out of my htpc to my onkyo tx-sr604, and from ther hdmi to my mitsubishi hc1600 hd projector. How do i tell if its hdcp complient anyway? its all got hdmi. should it be hd?

I don't know what a "onkyo tx-sr604" is. Can't you tell us? Do its specs claim HDCP compliance?

FYI, early devices supported HDMI but not HDCP. This pissed off a lot of early adopters.

Try connecting directly to your TV and see what happens.

Its a receiver. Ill check the specs now but anydvdhd is running. i was told that disables the hdcp compliance thing. Is this correct?

Have you tried connecting directly to your TV?

I dont think it is hdcp compliant. it doesnt say anything about it on the onkyo website.
no i havent connected it to my tv. My tv is a Mitsubishi hc1600 HD projector. The wires are fished thru the ceiling so its not really an easy "plug it in real quick" situation.

this sucks!

Now what?

Check with AnyDVD support to see if HDCP should be removed. Tell them the disk details.

did it. they said anydvd removes it in the backround.

Then I would connect it directly to the TV and if it works call the receiver people for support.

Does it play when using the Original Bluray disk that your ISO is from?

Nope. Ive tried both the .iso's and the original disks and get the same results. The trailers and warnings play fine but when i get to the main menu all i can see is a still picture(if even that) and the menu options (play, scene selection, etc)
Ive even tried reripping a few blurays and turning off the the "keep bluray protection". I get nothing.

thanks
