-I encode BDs to X264, so that the PCs on my network without BD drives can play the movies.
-The aggressive x264 settings that I use don't seem to be fully compatible with PowerDVD's AVC decoder. Some encodes work fine; others look extremely blocky. However, CoreAVC works like a charm.
-In order to have my media players use CoreAVC instead of PDVD, I have to unregister the PDVD8 AVC decoder using CCCP Insurgent. This effectively breaks Blu-Ray playback in PowerDVD.
So my question is: Is it possible to assign the CoreAVC decoder to Windows Media Player/Media Center without having to unregister the PDVD8 decoder?
Thanks :)
