Movie catalog application

So like most of you, I have lots of movies on my harddrive. Rather then having to wade through my HD folders, I'd like some sort of simple catalog that allows me to browse all of my movies and upon selecting one it would launch MPC. I've tried to use MPC's Favorites feature but I'm not a huge fan (mainly because I have so many movies and the menu would stretch off the screen). I've also tried HTPC software like Meedios and MediaPortal but I find these slow and buggy.


How are you guys browsing through your catalogs and launching movies?

I have been meaning to make an html page with the name of each movie as a link to a .pls file (for the movie) for VLC Media Player, but i haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe that could work for you.

No - but I just stumbled on that. Will check it out...
