About a week ago, my desktop locked up and had to be rebooted. My username and password to the forum were forgotten by Firefox, and I had to re login. I checked the remember me box, but for some reason Firefox isn't storing the passwords or username. I have to login manually now each time. This happens for other forums that I frequent as well. I'm positive that the registry is corrupted somewhere, but I don't know if it's in Firefox itself or somewhere else in Windows. Can someone point me to where to look?

I already upgraded to 3.0.4, still not remembering my username or passwords. This is really strange, because Firefox has always kept them after I logged in and checked off the remember me box.

I suggest you report the problem on Firefox's bugtracker ..

The bug fixed in 3.0.3/4 was regarding FF remembering text entered on the page in the uname/password field box. So if you start typing it can auto-complete the forms. The OP's problem is that the auto-login cookie did not work. For me it would work for a day or so and then the login cookies would disappear and I would have to login again, even if I manually pushed the cookies' expiration date back several years. It only happened on this and a couple of other sites, most worked fine.

Hopefully it's fixed with FF 3.0.7.

FF 3.0.7 has this in the change log:
-For some users, cookies would appear to go “missing” after a few days (bug 444600).

If this doesn't fix the problem is also possible that your cookie file is corrupt. Delete cookies.sqlite in your FF profile folder and FF will create a new one.
