Hi, guys:
I downloaded the program, and I used the default setting except for the quality. That I chose ¡§high.¡¨ I successfully made a .mp3 file, but the quality is nothing like that of a DVD. In fact, the quality is awful. I don¡¦t know where I did wrong. Anyone who knows or ever used this program, please tell me the right way of doing it. Thanks!

An easier app to use is BeSweet or HeadAc3he to accomplish what your trying to do. Use DVD2AVI to extract the AC3 from the VOBs if you use HeadAC3he. BeSweet will convert to MP3 directly from the VOBs.

directly from the DVD, if you know where to find the "right" vstrip.dll ;)

Thanks for the reply.
So I should use DVD2AVI to extract the AC3?
Then convert AC3 to MP3 with BeSweet?
Is that correct?

just checking something... you actually took the audio directly from the DVD disc without ripping the vobs first?

I did take audio directly from a DVD. Actually, the program doesn't open .vob file.

hehe.. don't think you got my warning in the news when besweet came out.... you need vstrip.dll from the vstrip_css pack which you can download from my page in order to convert CSS encrypted VOBs. Furthermore.. you have to authenticate your disc prior to conversion.. to do that start up a software dvd player, start playing, close it again... then rip.
but.. a word of advice.. your drive will last longer if you don't do much conversions directly from the drive.
