Avidemux WMV audio out of sync

Loading a .wmv clip directly into Avidemux , the audio is out of sync.
I thought that separating the video and audio might help - but using a script and AVS proxy it doesn't seem to latch on to the audio.
(in File => Properties, the audio is greyed out).
(loading the same script in VirtualDub produces audio)

AVSProxy doesn't support audio yet! Adjust your script to return video only:
DirectShowSource("C:\Some Source.wmv", ConvertFPS=True, FPS=25, Audio=False).ConvertToYV12()

The audio must be loaded as an external audio track...
