Is it only DirectShowSource or is there a plugin for decoding WMV in Avisynth ?

You might be able to use FFMPEGSource.

QTSource works well - just make sure you have QuickTime 7 installed.

Also, a lot of times MOVs contain H.264 + AAC or something like that. In these cases, I use MKVToolnix to remux to MKV.

Getting QuickTime specific formats to decode properly is difficult.
