First of all thanks for the new version.
However I have tried to convert 2 divx movies. Both fail to extract the mp3 audio, but convert the video as normal.
I can extract the audio using visualdub, and then convert, and mux.
Any ideas why the avi2svcd audio stripping is failing ?

This probably because of the Variable bitrate .....
I used virtualdub to do a direct stream copy of the Video
and full processing/compressing of the sound in MP3 192 Kbits constant...
And it works perfect then in avi2svcd .....
(It so much better watching on a Standalone player then with
that winblows media player .....)
Two popular movies floating around : Shrek an Tombraider. :No problems
when reprocessing the audio ....
Only with Tombraider the apsect is not really correct.. but I'm
working on that one ....

I was really surprised by the quality. I transcoded emperors new grooove 74 mins from ntsc divx (800MB) to ntsc/96Kb audio SVCD (800MB) on a single 90min cd-r. Quality was definately acceptable. The temporal smoother s a very useful thing !

:( Hello
I too have had the same issue with the audio stream not extracting correctly from a Divx source onced muxed with the video.
As It turns out the MP2 and MPA audio streams play correctly in media player but sound like chimpmonks in winamp.
I am interested in finding how the audio stream is extracted using virtualdub and muxed with the video again in DVD2SVCD.
