I have some family videos that I took a while ago and converted to Xvid. Now I'm trying to make a DVD of them to give to my grandma for Xmas. I've done a lot of DVD-to-Xvid, but never the other way around.
Anyway, I'm using the DVD2SVCD suite to call on TMPEG to do the processing. That seems to work fine, but when it gets to MPlex (which converts the TMPEG output to a DVD-compliant MPEG-2 stream), MPlex gives me an error:
INFO: [???] mplex version 2.0.0 (dvd2svcd modified) (2.2.3 $Date: 2004/01/13 20:45:26 $)
INFO: [???] File D:\vidz\editing\Encoded_Video_TMPGEnc_NTSC.mpv looks like an MPEG Video stream.
**ERROR: [???] File unrecogniseable!
**ERROR: [???] Unrecogniseable file(s)... exiting.
It looks like it's a configuration issue, but I don't know what setting to change in DVD2SVCD.
Also, I can play the .mpv file w/ mplayer, but the aspect ratio is off slightly. The original file is 4:3 and that's what I selected for the output too. Is that something that will change somewhere in the remainder of the process (ie, Mplex, DVDAuthor, or during DVD playback)?
