View Full Version : WIERD asynch problem when using Forced FILM

Hmm... I guess it's like this. I have an SVCD source that when I preview says:

AR - 4:3
FR - 29.970
VT - FILM
FT - Progressive/Interlaced (alternates every frame or so it looks like)

From what I understand, in this case I'd set it to Forced FILM, correct? When I do this, the FR changes to 24.000 (rest is the same), and after using the VFAPI converter, the resulting AVI is about 3 seconds short of the audio, and grows async when I try to mux em.

If I save a project with "None" field operation, the resulting AVI is the proper length, plays fine, audio is synched, but it now has those interlaced frames in regular intervals...

Obviously I'm a little confused about what's going on. Help?? :)

Thanks,

-Nick

Which version of dvd2avi are you using? The force film framerate should be 23.97 fps, not 24. I believe there would be a length differnce of about 3 seconds in a 40 minute video between 23.97 and 24.

Yup... I think it was that MP3-hacked one by Gloval. Must be a bug in the program, because offical 1.74 detects 23.97 fine.

Thanks for the tip!
