I was just wondering if I need to have the actual DVD i'm ripping in the DVD-ROM drive throughout the whole process with DVD2SVCD??? Is there a step in DVD2SVCD where I would no longer need the DVD disc? Or is there a way to simply copy the contents of the DVD-ROM to hard drive and rip from there?

watch the log.. as soon as the ripping process has finished you can remove the disc

After the IFO and VOB files are copied to the hard drive you can remove the DVD - It is not needed any more - The program works solely off the copied IFO and VOB files ..

DVD2SVCD just added Q42. Using this tip I'll now only have to use smartripper if it's a dual-layered DVD...From now on I'll use internal routines 95% of the time I'd imagine.
