How does one enable viewing closed caption in MPC Home Cinema version used is 1.1.840.0:thanks:

As far as I know, there is no CC options in MPC but from my experience if you use ffdshow to play a disc with CC (not subtitles) they will show by default. I'd like to know how to turn them off.

Thanks for your response. I'm a bit of a novice. How does one configure MPC Home Cinema to use FFDSHOW to play DVD instead of it's internal Mpeg decoders?:stupid:

To use ffdshow for DVD decoding:
- Disable the internal MPEG-2 decoder in MPC.
- Enable MPEG-2 in ffdshow and also enable the "DVD decoding" option.
To disable CC handling by ffdshow:
- At the 'subtitles' page, uncheck 'decode closed captions'.

Hmmm... I see. I didn't realise this was even here because I didn't have the subtitles option in ffdshow enabled. :thanks:
