I used MPC Home Cinema 1.1.840.0, there is a very strange problem with it, everytime I set some external filters in it, after several restart, they gone ! the external filter list is empty again !
Furthermore, the more stranger occurence that even if all the external filters were gone from the external filter list, when I played media file, the correspondence filter shows up in playback, what's wrong ?

Known issues & bugs:
* Random crashes with internal avi, mkv, mp4 internal source filters and mpc video decoder.
* Subtitles synchronization lost with VMR9/EVR
link
* There are problems with DVD navigation, some menu's are affected more than others.
* MPC-HC will randomly delete the external filter settings in the .ini file.
* VC-1 Interlaced Material Bug (sample provided)

Thanks, I've downgraded to ver 1.1.604.0, and the same is happening too, is there a version which doesn't have this kind of bug ?

I've been using various builds with external filter settings for well over a year and haven't noticed this. I don't save settings to .ini though. Do you have save settings to .ini checked in the player page? If so, try unchecking it and see if the problem persists.

Update:even mpc svn revision and old gabest gave the same results
@Turbojet, thanks, I'll try it out, after several restart sequences and reboot sequences, I'll post the result
Btw, I'm curious as how many external filters do u have in mpc ?
Update: another strange problem arise, everty time I tried to load subtitle, it gave an error msg "change the renderer to dx9 or haali", but I already set the output to haali and haali filter is running, very weird =(

then try Haali+DirectX 9, and not just one of the two.

The "Post Reply" and "New Thread" are two different buttons on Doom9.

4 filters. used 1.1.604 since it came out until a few weeks ago, currently using 1.1.841.
What betaking wrote about external filters being deleted from .ini got me thinking that could be your issue and why I havent had the issue.

You are right, my friend, after 11 restart and 3 reboot, the external filters list stay the same, thank you very much =)
Update: new problem arise, everytime I tried to open x264 mkv with mpc, it suddenly shutdown itself =(

Solved it by dumping MPC, ZP has a better and efficient decoder management =p
