Hi to you all,

having few VTS an few TITLES in each VTS, I don't assign any NEXT command to the videos in the titles and the simulation window of scenarist correctly indicates that there is not any next pgc, but if I burn the DVD at the pressure of the next button, player let me jump from a TITLE to the following and from a VTS to the following.
Anyone of you had the same problem? Is there a way to fix it and having the "not allowed at the moment" message as wished?
Thanks

There are some players behaving like yours (but it is not standard).
Having property browser open, mark PGC in scenario editor, doubleclick UOP in property browser and check UOP7.

Thank for the replay. If I inhibit the next command I cannot pass from a chapter to the other in my film. I wonder why some DVDs do not have the same problem on the same player; I tried reauthoring them, but I have not found any special sagacity adopted.

You can set UOP7 on VOBU level.
In track editor choose last scene of the track only, in property browser set UOP7.

So you can pass from chapter to chapter but you should not be able to jump to next title.

Lock out UOP2 (TitlePlay) at the PGC level. TitlePlay controls the 'Title surfing' option that the player is doing (this will also prevent users from manually typing in title numbers on the remote and jumping around the disc). It's part of the DVD spec, if there is no 'next PGC' then players automatically jump to next title (technically, the next PGC on the disc). Some players may still ignore the fact that you lock out UOP2, but that should solve it in most of them...

And locking UOP7 on the last chapter of each piece is also a good idea. Between the two, that should solve the problem.

Thank you all for the reply. I tried UOP metod at scene level, it works. I will use this metod for the future, but only for a fact of knowledge I have a scenarist project with its related DVD that do not utilizes this metod and anyway blocks the unwanted next jumps. I will soon control if it utilizes the Titleplay metod and let you know. Thanks again.

Hi, finally found: they set UOP7 in scenario editor at scene level - linked scene (exactly same effect that UOP7 VOBU level). Thanks again you all
